Pelham Manor
Pelham Manor, on the Long Island Sound, is home to the Pelham Country Club and
the Travers Island facility of the New York Athletic Club. Pelham Manor has many large
estates built in the 1920s.
The Village of Pelham is comprised of four neighborhoods:
- Pelhamwood, known for
tree-lined, gently curving streets, has unique, large residences.
-
Pelham Heights, just south of the railroad
station, is a hilly area with stately homes and well-groomed lawns.
-
North Pelham has smaller, more affordable
homes.
-
Chester Park is a quiet family neighborhood
built around a square park at the north end of the village.
So now that we've let you in on "Westchester's Best Kept
Secret," you are invited to discover and explore our town -- a very special place to
live and raise a family!
Discovering
Pelham
Pelham is the southernmost town in Westchester, located less than
half an hour from midtown Manhattan via the New Haven line of the Metro North Railroad.

One reason people move to Pelham is for the schools, which have received national
acclaim. Elementary school class size is extremely limited. Through PTAs and site-based
councils, parents take an active role in shaping school programs.
Pelham offers the serenity and fresh air of green spaces without precluding the
cultural excitement and business opportunities of New York City.
